Some Organizations that Support Boards and Board Candidacy
The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) helps directors “lead with confidence in the boardroom” and has the stated aspiration of “corporate directors are recognized by all stakeholders as trusted stewards of long-term value creation.” They follow trends in best practices and governance and offer a library of resources, courses and their own set of credentials. According to their website, half of the Fortune 1000 directors are members.
