You don’t need to do the exercises, of course, and you don’t certainly need to watch my cat video. (The research seems to support cat videos as a top stress reducer, but I haven’t checked thoroughly to make sure it isn’t the same study quoted over and over again.) In any case, the goal is not to add stress, so if you don’t like cats, don’t watch it.
Let’s explore that a bit. The goal is not to add stress. How many times a day do we do that to ourselves unnecessarily? Instead, the goal is to relieve stress and fill up your “well” of resilience so you can be available for the joys and stressors in your daily life and have a clear vision for your future.
